Smorgasburg LA · ROW DTLA
Smorgasburg LA 2026: Cambodian Sausage, Catfish Bites, and Banana Pudding at ROW DTLA
Smorgasburg LA is the Sunday food market at ROW DTLA, with small vendors from all over Southern California. We went back in 2026 for the new stalls, ate our way through six of them, and kept track of every price so you know what a day here really costs.
Where we ate.
Kreung LA
Smorgasburg LA, ROW DTLACambodian sausage plates
Get: The sausage plate with coco-lime leaf rice ($16). The jasmine rice version is $14.
Easily one of our new favorites. You get three snappy sausages, grilled to order, with a warm, buttery corn salad, cabbage, and a tangy, spicy dipping sauce. The kroeung (lemongrass, galangal, lime leaf) makes them a little herby. The coco-lime leaf rice is broken rice made with coconut milk and lime leaf, fluffy with a coconut aftertaste, and worth the $2 upgrade over jasmine.
OVVI
Smorgasburg LA, ROW DTLAMatcha drinks
Get: Yuzu matcha tonic ($9.90)
The citrus balances out the matcha bitterness, and on a hot day it was exactly what we needed. It isn't cheap, and that goes for everything here: expect above-market prices, because you're paying small vendors who come from all over to be here.
Me So Fishy
Smorgasburg LA, ROW DTLAFried catfish
Get: Catfish bites ($7.99 for seven) with the Jamaican jerk sauce. Grab the mac and cheese sample if they offer one.
Meaty, slightly fatty, very soft catfish in a light breading that's crispy and not oily. The Jamaican jerk sauce is creamy, and the spice creeps up on you. You can add a maple drizzle; we skipped it. We usually have to go to Memphis or Charlotte for catfish this good. Now this is our spot.
Sweet Grass Sugarcane Juice
Smorgasburg LA, ROW DTLA (shop in Long Beach)Fresh-pressed sugarcane juice
Get: Lychee Cane ($9)
Naturally sweet sugarcane, pressed fresh, with chunks of lychee in it. It's thirst quenching but still sweet, and on a hot Sunday it was our second $9 drink of the day for a reason.
Banana Mama
Smorgasburg LA, ROW DTLABanana pudding
Get: The OG and the Ube Oreo. They also have Vietnamese coffee, cosmic brownie, and Biscoff flavors.
A small business from San Diego that drives up every week for this market. Banana Mama gifted us these two puddings. Both are creamy and not too sweet, with ripe bananas and wafers at the bottom. The OG tastes more of wafer and vanilla pudding, while the Ube Oreo leans cookies and cream. They're so different we couldn't pick a favorite.
Unreal Poke
Smorgasburg LA, ROW DTLA (shop in Arcadia)Hawaiian poke
Get: Shoyu ahi ($18 for a half pound). The Hawaiian-style creamy poke and the poke bombs (poke in a fried tofu pocket) are also good picks.
Unreal Poke started here at Smorgasburg before opening its store in Arcadia. The tuna melts in your mouth, with nothing chewy about it, and it's marinated and coated just right. We took ours home to eat over rice.
Good to know before you go
- Smorgasburg LA runs Sundays, 10 AM to 4 PM, at ROW DTLA, 777 S Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA 90021.
- Budget for above-market prices. Our six stops came to $60.89 before tax, and two of those were $9 drinks.
- It gets hot. Wear shorts, bring water, or plan on buying drinks.
- Also worth a look: Shlap Muan's Cambodian wings (they also have a spot in Monrovia), yuca fries at the Peruvian stall, Shady Grove's $25 picanha steak, plus the dessert stalls we covered on earlier visits, which are still there.
